Tradition of Care with Compassion

  • Maria Regina is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood, NY.
  • Everyone who provides care at Maria Regina draws inspiration from the mission of the Sisters who work tirelessly to bring God’s inclusive love to all. All are welcome to participate in integrated holistic wellness programs that provide social engagement, lifelong learning, and spiritual enrichment.
  • Residents at Maria Regina include lay men and women as well as religious sisters from various communities, and priests.
  • Unique to Maria Regina is a Pastoral Team. The team is comprised of Sisters of St. Joseph who minister in the tradition of their community. One of the Sisters meets with each resident upon arrival. Through conversation they come to an understanding of the person’s spirituality. Every effort is made to meet the personal spiritual needs of the resident and the resident’s family. The pastoral team is available 24/7.

Maria Regina is a Community of Hope, Healing and Hospitality, offering service based on the following values and beliefs:

We Believe

  • In promoting health and wholeness, and in extending Christ’s healing love to those residents whose lives have been disrupted by sickness or injury.
  • In the dignity and worth of each resident and her/his right to embrace her/his personal identity
  • In the value of each resident’s regaining her/his independence as much as that is possible
  • In providing a climate that will enable each resident to make decisions and choices regarding her/his own healthcare
  • In providing support, counsel, and guidance in the decision making process
  • That each resident has a right to all information regarding her/his own health, and that a competent resident’s decision must be respected and carried out
  • That each member of the residence shares in the responsibility for striving to create an atmosphere of joy and hospitality so characteristic of the Sisters of Saint Joseph
  • That each person who works at Maria Regina has a responsibility to contribute to an environment that will support and sustain loving care and respect for personal dignity
